In recent weeks, important decisions have been made regarding the route of the S10 expressway on the section connecting the A1 motorway with the Warsaw Agglomeration Bypass (OAW).
During the meetings of the Investment Project Evaluation Committee (KOPI) at the General Director for National Roads and Motorways, held on:
- February 26–27, 2026 (section from A1 – Włocławek Północ junction – to the border of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Mazovian provinces),
- March 2–3, 2026 (section to DK50 and S50 up to S7),
Variant 4 (the so-called “purple” variant) was recommended for the entire analyzed route.
Key parameters of the project:
- 42.3 km – length of the S10 section from A1 to the provincial border,
- 78.1 km – total length of the analyzed S10 and S50 sections,
- approx. 17 km – new section of DK60, which will provide a direct connection between Płock and S10.
The selected variant runs closest to the borders of Płock, providing the city with a fast connection via a dual carriageway (2x2 – two lanes in each direction). The S10 junction will be located approximately 7 km from the city limits.
We are pleased to announce that the Technical, Economic and Environmental Study (STEŚ) for this project has been prepared by the TPF and Databout consortium, commissioned by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
The preparatory process included extensive analyses and public consultation:
- cooperation with local government units since spring 2023,
- a total of 19 information meetings with residents in 2024–2025,
- work of the Investment Project Evaluation Team with the participation of stakeholders.
