Last April, we announced the signing of a contract for the construction of a tunnel under the railway line in Warsaw's Wesoła district. This facility is being built along 1. Praskiego Pułku Street with the aim of improving railway and road safety, increasing the capacity of the transport system, reducing conflicts between rail and road traffic, and streamlining traffic in this part of the city.

Currently, as part of the investment, a Temporary Traffic Organization has been implemented, which allows for the execution of works and has enabled the closure of the railway-road crossing at km 16.247 on railway line no. 2 for its removal. Car traffic is being diverted through a temporary railway-road crossing at km 17.651 on railway line no. 2, and pedestrian traffic is guided through temporary crossings located at the far ends of the platforms at the Warsaw Wesoła passenger stop.

The contractor is carrying out demolition works, construction and reconstruction of the storm sewer, water supply network, sanitary sewer, and gas pipelines, as well as constructing diaphragm walls on the northern side of the railway tracks.

To maintain passenger traffic at the Warsaw Wesoła stop, the construction of a railway bypass and temporary platforms is planned.
