On 22 January 2026, the Head of the Kłodzko Commune issued an environmental decision for the project: “Construction of the Szalejów Górny bypass along National Road No. 8 – Variant 1B.”

The decision was obtained as part of a contract implemented by TPF, dated 1 February 2022, which includes the preparation of the Technical–Economic–Environmental Study (STEŚ) with elements of the Program Concept.

Scope of the investment:

The planned bypass will be located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in Kłodzko County, within the Kłodzko Commune. The investment involves the construction of a new section of National Road No. 8, providing a bypass of the town of Szalejów Górny in a west–east direction.

The beginning and end of the bypass have been designed between the roundabouts planned as part of the expansion of DK8 on the Szczytno – Kłodzko section (approx. km 28+620 – 31+617).

Obtaining the environmental decision is an important step toward the implementation of this key infrastructure project, aimed at improving road safety, traffic flow, and the quality of life for residents of the region.
