On 24.07.2023, TPF Sp. z o.o. signed an agreement with PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. to develop design documentation for the reconstruction of the Piotrków Trybunalski - Belchatow - Bogumilow railroad line. Belchatow residents will gain a fast and convenient rail connection to Łódź. It is estimated that after modernization and electrification the travel time will be about 1 h 25 min. The favorable change will be provided by the reconstruction of the line from Piotrkow Trybunalski through Belchatow to Zarzecz (No. 24) and the construction of a new section of the line from Zarzecz to Bogumilow. Currently, only freight trains reach Belchatow. The railroad serves Poland's largest fuel and energy basin, the Belchatow lignite mine and the Belchatow Power Plant.

The project will rebuild approx. 34 km of single-track railroad line No. 24 on the Piotrków Trybunalski - Belchatow - Zarzecze section, and an approx. 7 km section between Zarzecz and Bogumilow will be built. The route will be electrified, so carriers will be able to use modern, environmentally friendly vehicles and thus prepare a better offer for travelers.

Residents will gain access to the railroad thanks to the reconstruction of the stop in Belchatow and the construction of new stops with working names: Wola Krzysztoporska, Korczew, Kurnos, Zarzecze, Trząs and Bogumiłów. The facilities will be equipped with shelters, benches, bright lighting and adapted to the needs of people with limited mobility. The appropriate height of the platforms will make it easier to get on and off the train.

The value of the signed contract for design work and future author's supervision is PLN 15.5 million net. The documentation is expected to be ready in the first quarter of 2026. Construction work is scheduled for 2027-2029.
