We are proud to announce that TPF Sp. z o.o. has signed a contract for the development of design documentation and the provision of author supervision for one of the largest railway investments in the history of the Silesian Voivodeship.
Project goal:
The modernization and expansion of infrastructure on the Katowice Piotrowice – Tychy section, which is part of a large-scale project covering the railway line from Będzin to the Czech border.
This is a crucial segment of an investment carried out by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A., involving the modernization of the route from Będzin through Sosnowiec, Katowice, Tychy, all the way to Zebrzydowice and the Czech border – one of the largest railway upgrades in the history of the Silesian region.
The main objective of the project is to build new tracks and separate agglomeration traffic from long-distance traffic, which will result in:
- increased capacity,
- improved local travel,
- shorter travel times,
- a higher number of connections.
Thanks to the implementation of this investment:
- passenger trains will be able to travel at speeds of up to 160 km/h,
- freight trains – up to 120 km/h,
- travel time will be reduced by approximately 5 minutes.
The design work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027.
We are proud that TPF can take part in this transformation of railway infrastructure and support the development of a modern, safe, and accessible railway network in Silesia.
