We are pleased to announce that the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Office in Szczecin, at the request of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, has issued a decision granting permission for the implementation of a road investment project (ZRID) for a key infrastructure initiative – the Western Bypass of Szczecin (ZOS) along the S6 expressway. This is a significant step that enables the commencement of construction works and the finalization of the documentation preparation process.
As a reminder, the application for the ZRID decision was submitted on September 30, 2024, and obtaining it was one of the most crucial milestones in the realization of this strategic investment.
The project, carried out by a consortium of TPF Sp. z o.o. and Databout Sp. z o.o., included the preparation of documentation for two sections of this investment:
• Section 1: Kołbaskowo – Dołuje (13.6 km)
• Section 2: Dołuje – Police (11.9 km)
The issuance of the ZRID decision paves the way for the implementation of the investment, including the initiation of compensation procedures for the owners of acquired properties and preparations for construction. The start of construction works is planned for the first half of next year.
The construction of the Western Bypass of Szczecin is a key element in improving road traffic in the region and relieving Szczecin of transit traffic. Its implementation will contribute to enhancing travel comfort and road safety.
