Railway line 182 Tarnowskie Góry – Zawiercie

TPF Sp. z o.o. implements for PKP PLK SA the following service: Management and supervision over the detailed design process and construction works execution within the project: Revitalization and reconstruction of partially inactive railway line 182 Tarnowskie Góry – Zawiercie.

The main goals of the project are the resumption of the traffic at Tarnowskie Góry–Zawiercie line in order to increase the accessibility of the railway transport in Northern Śląsk, improvement of its quality and creation of safe and reliable link between urban areas and Pyrzowice airport.

The project consists of upgrading and electrification of 46,1 km long section of railway line 182 in Silesian Voivodeship between Tarnowskie Góry and Zawiercie, as well as two connections: line 705 in Zawierciu of 1,3km length and line Miasteczko Śląskie – Gosek of 1,1 km length.

Within the scope of the task, there is reconstruction of 30km long section of railway line between Tarnowskie Góry and Zawiercie. New stops are being built: Miasteczko Śląskie Centrum, Mierzęcice, Zawiercie Kądzielów and two-platform Pyrzowice Lotnisko station, as well as underground road crossings in Pyrzowice airport and Siewierz. Tarnowskie Góry, Siewierz and Poręba stations are being upgraded. Moreover, the area for two railway stops in Miasteczko Śląskie i Poręba is being prepared for the construction. The investment involves 52 engineering facilities, including the construction of two-level intersections: A1 motorway and voivodeship road DW 913 Będzin – Pyrzowice (airport direction frontage road), as well as upgrading of 38 railway railway crossings.
