A1 Motorway Sójki - Piątek

A1 motorway construction was an investment of European importance. It was treated as one of the very important Governmental tasks. The necessity of its construction resulted from the need of creation of transit transport system in the country. The existing transport system capacity in Poland was not ready to cope with the increasing traffic, therefore it was needed to build the motorways and urgent need to adjust the infrastructure to European standards. In Poland A1 motorway runs through Gdańsk - Toruń - Łódź - Częstochowę - Katowice - to southern border with Czech Republic in Gorzyczki. The above section is located in the area of Łódź Voivodeship, in Kutnowski powiat, in the area of Strzelce, Oporów, Kutno, Krzyżanów municipalities. The completion of A1 motorway construction at the section has not only improved the comfort of travelling between Łódź and Gdańsk, but also the living conditions of Kutno citizens.

Kutno Wschód interchange enabled the drivers going by public road 92 from Łowicz to Toruń and Gdańsk A1 motorway entry and exit, without having to go though the city.
