TPF Sp. z o.o. in consortium with TPF Planege-Consultores de Engenharia e Gestao S.A. has implemented for General Directorate for National Roads and Highways the following service: contract management and construction of S-2 expressway in the section Konotop interchange to Puławska interchange, along with MPL Okęcie joint and Marynarską street (S-79) in Warsaw, including works implementation supervision and management within the EU project.
S-2 and S-79 expressways construction was a part of a bigger investment task - the construction of Warsaw crossing A2 motorway Poznań – Łódź – Warszawa – Biała Podlaska. In the urban section the route was planned as S2 expressway, which would enable using it for transit traffic, as well as for international inner agglomeration traffic.
S2 road in the section between Puławska and Lotnisko was designed using the middle part of the reserved plan of the road corridor called Warsaw Southern Bypass (POW), instead S-79 expressway in the section between Lotnisko and Marynarska interchanges is now a part of the communication route of N-S Route. The middle fragment of the POW route together with N-S Route ensure the direct access to the Chopin Airport (old Warszawa – Okęcie).
